Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2014-04-05T09:40Z ( ACE: MAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
ACE: MAG
ACE: SWEPAM
Activity ID: 2014-04-05T09:40:00-IPS-001 (version 3)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: Josh: The impact could possibly be associate with the late arrival of CME with ID 2014-04-02T13:55:00-CME-001 which was predicted to impact Earth 2014-04-04T08:56Z and 2014-04-05T01:20Z. The maximum solar wind speed in the early part of the arrival was ~500 km/s. The density was, for a short time, >30 /cc. The total magnetic field strength measured by ACE slowly increased from early part of the ICME arrival value of ~8 nT to ~17 nT by the end of the observing period, and was still increasing. The Bz component was mostly northward. RC ICME Catalog: 04/05 1000 04/05 2200 04/07 0500
